No. 5821, one of 471 lightweight cars of the so-called Type 5 variety purchased by the Boston Elevated Railway during 1922-1927, was built by J. G. Brill in 1924 and was placed in service in November of that year. It was acquired by the Seashore Trolley Museum in 1954.
