New Haven 2053

Budd car Number 41 and FL9 Number 2053 in readiness at the Dover Street Engine Terminal for the afternoon rush in Boston. The FL9's are unique in that they are able to operate as self contained diesel-electric locomotive or operate as a straight electric locomotive using third rail pick up for operation to Grand Central in the former New York Central tunnels in Manhattan. October, 1968.
